Floofalot is a divided land, with many cats of different beliefs and alliances. Alliances pertaining to fruits. You'll catch on.

There are two major powers of Floofalot. These are the Mango Monarchy, and the Citrus Supremes. Both are powerful forces, but neither are powerful enough to knock the other one completely out of the picture. Lust for total control over the land has stemmed into a pretty healthy rivalry between the two.

The Mango Monarchy
The "true blooded" royals. All they have going for them is good looks, a snotty attitude, and blood that can be traced all the way back to the first noble founders of Floofalot.
And a gigantic army of their "loyal servants."
They accept only purebred cats; as a result, they would be pretty small, but scandals are found high and low, and their level of leniency varies between how far back you can trace and how big a cat you are.
Loath and condescend cats who are not as noble, good looking, or pure of blood. Take everything at face value, including each other.
Though they're usually about as deep as a puddle, they're sheer masters of deception, lies, and whatever it takes to get what they want.
The Citrus Supremes
Ah, the supremes. Perhaps their large egos, muscles, and morals are balanced by their small brains, perceptiveness, and vocabularies, but it's hard to say. They are fiercely loyal to their land, but it's hard to say who they hate more; the mangos, for their backstabbing, or "evildoers" for their... evil. They divide the world between the supremes, the mangos, and the evil dudes. If your a supreme, you're "radical". If you're a mango, you're "low", and if you're an evil dude, you're "so not cool". Devoted to being good, they figure that the best way to ensure harmony and peace is to kill anyone who seems like to break it. Everything about them is close, yet so far.

Then you have the lesser groups of the realms, the most prominent among them are the mystical Watermelon Waters, the rebellious Creamsicle Legions, and the obsessive Pineapple Clan. (You know we couldn't do something without pineapples in it.)
Also, there is the rumored of Loganberries, an Assassin's Guild with skill so deadly, so terrible, that attempts to completely eradicate it have been made by all of the other groups. The rumor is that the guild was too great for even this; it merely disappeared into the land, but every now and then, there is a murder that cannot be traced by any mortal means.

Watermelon Waters
The Watermelons of the waters dwell in and around a dormant volcano, that has long since filled with water. What was once a barren and desolate land of ashes has since transformed into a small lush, mysterious jungle. Trespassers are despised; the watermelons remain aloof over the rest of their country, literally. They are remarkably out of the loop on events way up on their volcano, and they prefer it that way.
To the rest of Floofalot, this chosen isolation is a mysterious thing. The fact that trespassers are rarely seen alive and sane again only elevates the mystique. Watermelons seem mystical, mysterious, and knowing to other cats; curiosity burns whenever a glance falls on the looming volcano. The watermelons are thought of as wise, and are often sought after for answers.
Creamsicle Legions
The Creamsicle are the product of perhaps the greatest scandal of the century. A young prince, by name of Golden Banana, from the Mango Monarchy and with strong blood in his veins simply left his realm, without so much as a word at the time. The words came later.
The twisted dealings of the Mangos infuriated this noble cat, and in retaliation the Creamsicle Legions were began in opposition. At first the Mangos scoffed, saying it would go nowhere. But loathing for mangos is deep in many places, and supporters flocked. The young prince is now head of a sizable army, and continues to plot against his homeland.
Pineapple Clan
'Barbaric' is the word for the pineapples. A clan of fierce, ferocious, and uncouth rogues, their coats almost invisible for all their scars and tribal markings. They too, are cut off from the rest of the country, but only because their primitive lives revolve solely around domination of their own tribe (though sometimes the thoughts stray to bigger and better things; if the pineapples ever rose up, it would be hard to stop the sheer ferocity of these cats.) If they're not the leader, they want to be, and if they are, they have to worry about keeping their place. It is survival of the fittest; violence is the most turbulent force in their camps, and runs in their veins in place of blood. Awash with fierce tattoos and fiercer scars, badges of pride both, they are a terrifying image to the civilized cats of the world.
Loganberries of Legend
The most rumored, feared, and despised guild of them all, said to be long eradicated. Loganberries, a group of adept assassins. In no way do they make themselves known or obvious, other than the occasional murder; the killers have secret meeting places in all the different factions of the country, and are impossible to find. To join, you must be invited; stumble upon it unwittingly and you will never be seen again. Only the most cold, ruthless killers are a member, and so it is no wonder the mere possibility of it's existence lurks in the nightmares of most cats.
